Biogas upgrading systems
designed by UGS Europe

Our plant deliver dependable ROI to your project.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCESS
Basic design of the system is shown in the picture. Site feed gas conditions & product gas quality specifications determine system configuration.

Gas blower. Biogas arriving from the digester is precompressed by the blower.
Biogas cooling and dehumidification. Most of the water is removed from biogas through condensation in a biogas cooler
Biogas filtration. To remove H2S and other contaminants usually three carbon towers are used.
Biogas compression. Gas compression station is designed as an easy handling containerized package of an oil-injected rotary screw block, directly coupled to drive motor.
Heat recovery. Up to 80% of the heat generated by a rotary screw compressor can be optionally recovered and used to reduce general energy costs.
2 or 3-stage membrane separation. Complex design of the membrane system allows to meet Customers’ specifications along with highest methane recovery.

FEED GAS

Biogas (CH4 > 50%; CO2 < 50%)

  • From organic waste
  • From energy crop
  • From landfill gas
  • From wastewater treatment plant
2
PRODUCT GAS
Biomethane UP TO 99,95% (RECOVERY > 99.95%)
  • Injecting into the national gas grid
  • Using as vehicles fuel (BioCNG)
  • Using as vehicles fuel (BioLNG)
By-product: CO2- rich gas
